One of the most anticipated days in high school sports is national Letter of Intent signing day, and for athletes all across the nation that day is tomorrow.
In terms of local intrigue, the focus will be on Placer High School in Auburn where 6'4", 300-pound defensive lineman Eddie Vanderdoes IV will announce his college of choice at 5:00pm.
ESPN rates Vanderdoes is rated the No. 1 defensive lineman and the No. 10 overall prospect in the country.
Weeks ago Vanderdoes narrowed his choices down to Alabama, Notre Dame, UCLA, USC, and Washington, while making his final official visit to Alabama last weekend.
While Vanderdoes is certainly the most high profile athlete set to sign his Letter of Intent, he is certainly not the only athlete who will put pen to paper in front of friends and family tomorrow.
There will be signing events at Granite Bay, Christian Brothers, Jesuit, Antelope, Del Campo, Ponderosa, Bella Vista, Oakmont, and the Elk Grove school district to name just a few.
SureWest Sports will pay visits to Granite Bay, Antelope, Del Campo, Ponderosa, and Placer. Throughout the day be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for photos, video, and updates on who signed where.
