Today, the All City Football Classic announced the North and South rosters for it's inaugural small school (Division IV-VI) all star game set for December 22, 5:00pm at Del Oro High School in Loomis.
All proceeds from the game will go to the Placer Food Bank and Division IV-VI athletic scholarships.
With the North squad led by Bear River co-head coaches Scott Savoie and Terry Logue, the veteran coaching tandem will have a passing game that includes the likes of quarterbacks Cody Heard of Bear River (1,484 yards) and Tommy Sawyer of Foresthill (1,766 yards, 29 touchdowns, five interceptions)
If Coach Savoie and Logue prefer a quarterback that can run as well as pass, they can turn to John Abalos of Highlands. Abalos rushed for 1,364 yards and 16 touchdowns to with 916 yards passing and seven touchdowns.
In the backfield the North will turn to Placer's Isaac Brahce (1,188 yards, 11 touchdowns) and Foresthill's Wes Archbold (1,058).
The defensive side of the ball features tackle machines in Valley Christian Academy linebacker/safety Caleb Van Patten (14.7 tackles/game), as well as Placer linebacker Tony Suverkropp (10.2 tackles/game)

For the South roster, the team's clear strength is it's stable of running backs.
Center's D'juan Bellaire (2,214 yards, 29 TD's), Capital Christian's Quinton Kirk (1,783 yards, 27 TD's), and Union Mine's Sean Tow (1,239 yards, 12 TD's) were some of the most productive running backs in the Sac-Joaquin Section.
Jacob Tibbetts of Liberty Ranch could be the quarterback of choice, but head coach Drew Rickert of Bradshaw Christian will also have Matt Bailey of Capital Christian as another solid passing option.
The South will be tough on defense too. Center linebacker Preston Dobbins averages 11 tackles per game and recorded a South roster best of 12.5 sacks.
Other defense forces for the South include Augie Ahuna of Union Mine (9.1 tackles/game), and Joe Vitoria of Galt (7.4 tackles/game) to name just a few.
